{"id":2539,"date":"2017-08-30T15:40:43","date_gmt":"2017-08-30T21:40:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/journeyinstitute.org\/?p=2539"},"modified":"2017-08-30T15:44:38","modified_gmt":"2017-08-30T21:44:38","slug":"thought-frames","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/devjourneyinstitute.com\/ji\/index.php\/2017\/08\/30\/thought-frames\/","title":{"rendered":"Thought Frames"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I like the way <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scarymommy.com\/author\/liz-petrone\/\">Liz Petrone<\/a> writes; like we&#8217;re just sitting down over coffee and she&#8217;s telling me a story. \u00a0Her story.<br \/>\nI ran across her post: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/flip.it\/rfQ-AI\">Learning How To Reframe My Thoughts Is Healing My Soul<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0and it read like a short story I couldn&#8217;t put down, but with much greater impact.<\/p>\n<p>Sure the title hooked me, but it was her writing and her message that resonated.<\/p>\n<p>In her post she asks one question. \u00a0(Okay, come one, you knew if I was writing about it it was going to have something to do with questions.) Anyway, her posit? &#8220;Can the simple act of looking at something differently be a revolution?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Uhmmm YEAH! Duh!<br \/>\nBut I digress.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s powerful about her post isn&#8217;t that it&#8217;s radically new, but that she re-frames it in a way that is. \u00a0And that&#8217;s the whole point of the article. \u00a0Re-framing.<br \/>\nPerhaps the most powerful thing she says in her post is that when she re-frames a thought and comes up with a new thought, she says (referring to the re-framed thoughts): &#8220;And here\u2019s the thing: This feels truer than any of the rest of it ever has anyway.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>WOW!<\/p>\n<p>So take a few minutes and read her post.<br \/>\nYour revolution awaits.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, and you&#8217;re welcome.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I like the way Liz Petrone writes; like we&#8217;re just sitting down over coffee and she&#8217;s telling me a story. \u00a0Her story.
