In addition to being a mom of four kids, GG Johnston is a leadership development and organizational health expert who works with business, teams and entrepreneurs, to instill healthy culture, collaboration and communication. She utilizes those skills to advocate for her son, Gregor, on his journey as a teenager with learning differences and a unique way of seeing the world.
Gregor Owens is a junior at East High School in Denver. He is a twice-exceptional learner with an IEP (Individual Education Plan) and a leader on the East High Angelbotics Team, which qualified for the F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Championship in 2016 for the first time. Gregor is learning to be a champion for himself on his educational journey.
Separately, GG and Gregor think differently; but together, they navigate the same path, advocating for each other. Their differences make them a strong, loving and sometimes feisty team.
